Disclosures

How we make money

Written in plain English, because the point of a disclosure is that people read it.

Sponsored and partner content

Sometimes a company pays us to write about their product. When that happens:

  • The post carries a Paid partner content label above the headline, before you read anything.
  • A disclosure box sits between the headline and the first paragraph naming the advertiser.
  • The post is labelled as partner content everywhere it appears on the site, including cards on the homepage and in section pages.
  • Sponsored posts are excluded from any "best of" roundup or comparison piece on this site.

Affiliate links

Some links to retailers earn us a commission if you buy. It does not change your price. We do not accept commission arrangements that pay more for a positive review, and we have left products in reviews after they failed, commission or not.

What advertisers do not get

  • They do not get to see or approve our non-sponsored coverage.
  • They do not get to remove a bad review by buying an ad.
  • They do not get to write in our voice without the label. If a brand supplies copy, we say so.

Health claims

This is worth being blunt about. Supplements, foods, and "wellness" products for dogs are not reviewed or approved the way medicines are. Nothing we run, sponsored or otherwise, is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and we do not publish sponsored copy that claims it does. If an advertiser wants that language, we turn the campaign down.

Before you start any supplement, joint product, or diet change with your dog, talk to your vet, especially if your dog is on medication or has a diagnosed condition.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, email hello@zoomiesagain.com and we will fix it and note the change at the top of the post. See our editorial policy.
