What is actually going on with your dog?

Why we built this

The most common email we get is some version of the same thing: my dog is slowing down, I do not know whether this is normal, and I do not know what to do first. It is a hard question to answer in a reply, because the answer depends on a few things about your specific dog.

So this asks the four things, and we write the answer up properly and send it over. What comes back is not a diagnosis and not a score. It is what your answers add up to, plus the changes most people have not made yet, in the order we would make them.

What this is not

It is not veterinary advice and it cannot examine your dog. If something showed up suddenly, if she is off her food, if she cries when she moves, or if she is already on medication, skip this and call your vet.
